Go Mavericks!

We have a minor league hockey team in our area now called the Maverick's. Steve, being the true Canadian that he is, has been enjoying going to every game he can! We've been lucky to get quite a few free tickets lately so he's been able to have a few guy's nights out.

His area at work decided to get tickets to go together to a game so here's a few pictures from when our family went. Grandma and Papa Kent were kind enough to stay home with Asher ( he wouldn't have made it to 10 o'clock). Aubrey had a great time, but was pretty focused on making sure she got the cotton candy we promised. : ) She had the poor guy staked out from across the rink and was waving at him almost the whole time. She finally got her pink cotton candy and all was right with the world : )

We had a great time cheering on "the Mav's" !

Aubrey insisted on having Daddy help make her her own sign before we left, complete with the Maverick's mascot, a stallion : )

Baby Bump: 18 Weeks

Disclaimer: I have had all of these pregnancy posts saved for a while but never posted (oops) but better late than never, right? I'm 19 weeks now and the ultrasound is tomorrow morning! I'm sure no one reads this blog still, but at least I'll have it for my own family journal, right?

Hooray for 18 weeks! I'm feeling much better...nausea wise (except for the apocalyptic flu I got this past week!). We are so excited for our ultrasound on Friday! I keep going back and forth on what the baby is...I have some things that point to boy for me that I experienced with Asher, but in my mind I keep picturing a girl when I think about the baby so we'll see. Basically, I've been wrong with the both the kids so if you want a good solid guess just pick the opposite of me! I'm saying boy for now...but I refuse to be held to it! (I'm calling that pregnant momma rights). I guess we'll just have to see. We're going to have my family over that night for dinner and the big announcement. I'm just excited to see those little arms and legs and fingers and toes, and hopefully this will be my first kiddo to give me a good profile shot! Let's pray they're not too modest either, my type-A personality couldn't handle it : )

So any guesses?

Baby Bump: 17 Weeks

My baby bump is definitely popping out this week. As you may have noticed I haven't exactly kept up with my "weekly" posts as much as "bi-weekly" posts, but hey...I'm working on something here! : ) We're getting excited to find out what the baby is and get to go in on March 9th for the big ultrasound. I change my guess all the time so we'll just have to see. Oh, and the baby can hear music this week...they are definitely coming out with Sesame Street and Disney songs stuck in their head!

Baby Bump: 15 weeks

Wow...the nausea is evident in this picture! Oh well...at least there's a little baby belly to show for it! It's so fun and reassuring to have started feeling the little pops of movement in there. I also started my P17 Progesterone injections again this week. I have a home health care nurse come out every week and administer the shot and then check my vitals and listen to the baby's heartbeat ( which is what makes the visit worth it!). Aubrey's been very interested in it all and says she wants to be a nurse. I haven't gained any weight yet, but I'm sure as my appetite comes back I'll more than make up for it. Thankfully, I've been able to have enough energy to keep up with the kiddos. Yay for week 15! : )

Baby Bump: 13 Weeks

Steve was kind enough to take these pictures for me. I'm planning on doing a weekly "baby bump" update using a chalkboard this time around (thanks Pintrest!). It's been fun so far. My morning sickness has redoubled its efforts again and I'm grateful for the Zofran help and just trying to make it through. It's ironic that when most people's nausea is waning mine is just gathering strength! : ) But, I'm grateful I'm not sick the whole time and hopefully it should subside around 20 weeks like it has with my other pregnancies.

Aubrey insisted on a belly picture too : )

THREE

You may have already seen this on facebook or heard the announcement directly from us, but I just wanted to formally announce on the blog that we're having baby #3 and are so excited about it! ( I blame my terrible lack of posting on that, oh wait...I started slacking off before I was pregnant? oops! )

I'm 12 weeks now and still feeling pretty yucky, which is typical for me through a good part of my 2nd trimester too, unfortunately. Aubrey is super excited about it, and Asher is pleasantly oblivious! : ) I've gotten the kid's nasty cold too though this week so I been down and out with that added to my nausea and fatigue. Oh well, hopefully I'll get over it all soon. I want to get it together to do some weekly pregnancy updates. ( Pintrest has ruined me and given me all this false ambition of cute things I could be doing!!) : )

Our official due date is August 1st, but I had Aubrey at 35 weeks and Asher at 37 so we'll see! I think I'll plan on being ready for a July baby just in case. : ) I've got a couple of other friends who are also expecting right around us so its been fun to share this experience together. So there's our news! I also have TONS of pics I'm hoping to put into a "year in review" post so hopefully I'll get that finished soon too.

Crown Center

Miracle of miracles....I have posted on the blog! Hooray! (problem is I think everyone has probably given up on me by now) : )

We went to downtown KC for our annual Christmas tradition of visiting Crown Center, seeing the Mayor's Christmas tree, and getting some of the most delicious fudge!

We had a good time although it was crazy busy. We also got to see the gingerbread house display. Here's a few pictures from our adventure.

The fountains were beautiful too!
Sparkly.... : )

At the Crayola store standing by her "matching color" as she says...

Watching them make fudge at Chips Chocolate Factory...free samples? umm...yes please!

This was a great brass quartet playing Christmas carols

The gingerbread display

The kids loved the train that went around the whole display.
