I had posted these on a family blog but hadn't on here yet : )


I'm 38 and 1/2 weeks pregnant and officially more pregnant than I ever have been. I've been pretty uncomfortable lately but we've been having one of the hottest summers on record ( highs of 113) and I'm 9 months pregnant so it's to be expected I guess. We're anxious to meet our little guy and have an induction date set for this coming Friday the 27th at 6am.  I'm already dilated to 4cm and 75% effaced so hopefully they can just break my water and that will be just the kickstart I need to coax this guy out! : )  Aubrey has been talking to my belly a lot and calls her little brother "sweetie-heart"(no we don't have a name yet) and always tells him her plans for what she wants to teach him. It's pretty sweet. Asher is for the most part oblivious, but likes to play "doctor" with my stomach and points and calls it "Asher's baby".

For probably the first time ever I pretty much have everything ready. Ok, well there are definitely some deep cleaning things that could still stand to be done, but I think I'm past that. : ) Last week I went through a couple of days of nesting where I cleaned like crazy, even vacuuming out the car and washing all the windows, and trimming down all of our rose bushes and boxwoods on a whim in 106 degree heat.  Not my best idea, but it sure felt like it needed to be done.  I've since relaxed back into my ol', "it's good enough" cleaning style. Turns out its hard to keep your home pristine with two tornadoes running around!

37 weeks

So I know I've been totally MIA again from the blog. I swear I have good intentions but I never seem to get around to doing the posts like I'd like. Anyway, I've had requests to know about the baby bump status so here you go! : )

I'm definitely feeling ready to go this time around. I don't think the 105+ temps have been helping in that department. I'm having a lot of low back pain and all the good stuff that comes at the end. I stopped my 17p injections on the 4th of July (36 weeks) and now am just playing the waiting game. Unfortunately, looks like I might be waiting longer than I'd like. I went to my appt yesterday and am still just 2-2.5 cm like I was at 35 weeks. I was hoping for more seeing as how I was 4cm with Asher at this point, but at least it's something. Asher came a day shy of 38 weeks so I still have time until then, but if he doesn't come by 38 weeks my OB is setting up an induction date for me on the 26th or 27th. So I guess at least there is an end in sight! : ) Either way, I'll have a baby in about 14 days so I think I can handle that.

I'm going to go get these tired prego feet a much-needed pedicure on Friday and I'm just trying to take it easy. ( Although nobody seems to have told my other two kids about that! haha).  I'm pretty much ready I think, but there always seems to be a never-ending to do list regardless.

I haven't really taken any pic of my baby bump in forever but here are a few ( not so flattering actually ) ones I found. : )

                                                                  4th of July (36 weeks)

 My good friend Erin and I at her baby shower ( we're due just 10 days apart). Her daughter and Asher are just a couple of months apart as well. She actually just had her baby on the 9th.

 My "red" themed baby shower some fun girls from church threw for me. It turned out super cute and was lots of fun. I look huge in this picture and particularly love the maternity pants panel showing through, but hey I haven't taken any pictures of myself, so beggars can't be choosers! : )

So that's it for now...We'll see what the next few weeks bring! Hopefully less aches and pains and more sweet babies! : )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHER!

My baby boy turned 2 today and I can't believe it! He is our little sunshine and just such a happy boy to have around. He seriously makes us smile everyday and I can't imagine our family without him.

We celebrated his birthday on Saturday with a few friends and family. We had an airplane themed party because Asher is obsessed with airplanes. He can somehow pick out the sound of one no matter where we are or what kind of commotion is going on. : )

Here are a few (ok, TONS) of pictures from the party:

Asher LOVED his cake. He kept pulling over his little chair to peek at it and saying "Cake! Clouds! Air-pane!" Made the effort of making the cake/cupcakes worth it : )

Our favor "suitcases"... Steve helped me design them and then I put it into my silhouette to cute out. They turned out really cute. I wish I had gotten a picture of the back of the luggage tags too though, we had everyone's names on them as well. Actually, we were lucky to get what pictures we did. Our camera died completely right before the party ( great timing!) so we borrowed my brother's for some quick pictures. Oh well! : )
